Overstaying sa Singapore

April 22, 2011 ara na ko sa Singapore for a vacation and partly YES! for job hunting.

June 3, I decided to go home sa Pinas! Sang sa Imigration na, I presented my Approval Form.

IO: Why are you overstaying?!!! (angry mode)

Me: So what's the problem Sir if I overstayed? I believe, my application for extension was approved.

IO: No no no! You are overstaying!

Ma sabat nko tani pero ga sige gid siya japon wakal nga "you are overstaying!" (so many times with matching pointing his finger at me - agry face!).

Kag biskan sala nga form nahatag ko gin verify ya man.

Last day ko nalang gid to sa Singapore na badtrip pa ako!

Im aware of the law..ga basa2x man ko a!

Under the Singapore Immigration Act, the penalty for illegal entry is a jail term of up to six months, plus a minimum of three strokes of the cane. The penalties for overstaying (exceeding 90 days) are – a jail term not exceeding six months, and caning not less than three strokes. In cases where caning cannot be administered, the offender will be fined up to $6,000.

Tinuom of Cabatuan

Last year, my friend Janelyn MaeTormon (a resident of Cabatuan) invited the whole “barkada” to visit their place. Her parents were so accommodating for they prepared a dish “Tinuom” for our dinner. And that was my first time to eat that kind of dish.

The ingredients of this Tinuom include marinated native chicken, potatoes seasoned with onions, ginger, tomatoes, lemon grass (tanglad), and wrapped in banana leaves. It usually served with broth that accumulates inside its wrapping following a heavy steaming. And it really tastes good.
But in my own opinion, Tinuom is savored like a “Tinolang Manok”. The only difference is Tinuom is cooked in banana leaves… He-he!

Mag-aso Falls Mountain Resort, Kabankalan City

I went to this resort with my Mom and her fellow teachers Mrs. Geronga (Ma’am Gina Desierdo), and Mrs. Ruth Tilog. The Mag-aso Falls Mountain Resort is located in Brgy. Uringao, Kabankalan City. The most attractions in this resort were their mini falls and the 75 foot falls that drop into the clear pool. It has also a swimming pool with a kiddie pool made for kids. Currently, the resort is in the process of development, and its entrance fee is only Php 25.00.

Pines View Hotel

When our college organized a field trip last year, one of our destinations stated in the itinerary was Baguio City. It was already passed eight o’clock in the evening when we arrived in the city and we checked-in in the luxurious Pines View Hotel. It is truly a luxurious place for me as an ordinary person. Five of us went through immediately in our room. And we did not turned on the air condition. Of course it’s Baguio, and we all know its cold there. I really love the ambiance of that hotel, and I could still remember the feeling that night, like a super star checking in that hotel. Ha-ha!

The Pines View Hotel stated in their website that; it is a place to experience top class service for a four star hotel. And for me, yes, it is indeed. It can bring you one of the most breathtaking panoramic views of downtown Baguio. During our visit there, we had used their free Wi-fi, but of course you need to go outside in your room. But now each room is equipped with this free internet access. Each room also has a Cable TV and a mini bar.

If you want to inquire about their services, you may visit to their site at http://www.pinesviewhotel.com/services.php
