Angry Birds Board Game 'Knock on Wood' Now Available!

We have been waiting for an Angry Birds board game for quite some time now. The gameplay on smartphones and tablets just seems like it would lend itself to a real-world game so well and our wish has finally been answered. Knock on Wood is the official Angry Birds board game and it’s available right now!
Build! Launch! Destroy! To get things going one player draws a mission card describing a structure to build. Once the structure is complete the opposing player(s) load a bird in the slingshot and try to knock the snickering green pigs and their rickety fortress out for good. 2-4 people can play and just like the app each mission card determines which birds, and how many, you get to launch at each structure.
If you can’t wait to take the Angry Birds and those annoying green pig off the screen and into the real world head over to ThinkGeek. Knock on Wood costs about 24 bucks, but we’re sure it will be entertaining. We just hope there are enough pieces to build a bunch of different structures and keep the fun going for a long time.

Angry Birds The Movie

David Maisel, the former chairman of Marvel Studios and the executive producer of "Iron Man", "Thor", and "Captain America: The First Avenger", is planning to adapt the popular mobile game "Angry Birds" into a feature length film, according to a report by Variety website.

The project is currently in the planning stages with Maisel in talks with screenwriters, directors and Rovio; the company behind the game who hopes to follow in the steps of animation studio; Pixar.

"There has been so much chatter about an "Angry Birds" movie, but it's now real," Maisel told Variety. "The process is starting now."

Maisel added, "People are interacting with these characters six inches from them each time they play, and that creates an emotional connection. This is not an American thing. It's not even a Finnish thing. It's a global thing that's something I've never seen before. It will be exciting to expand within Hollywood."

The "Angry Birds" game which has been downloaded more than 250 million times since its launch in 2009, allows players to use a slingshot to help a flock of animated birds destroy a group of evil pigs who steal their eggs.

Luis can't get over Angel?

Angel Locsin definitely has her eyes and heart set on Philippine Azkals striker Phil Younghusband.

The Kapamilya star was spotted watching game two of Azkals vs Sri Lanka on Sunday, at the Rizal Memorial Stadium. An "inspired" Phil scored two out of four goals that won the match for the team.

But while Angel's relationship with Phil gets stronger by the day, ex-boyfriend Luis Manzano seems to have a hard time moving on.

Angel's tweet
On July 1, using her Twitter account, Angel posted a meaningful tweet against her "ex."
"Dear ex, stop texting, stalking & fighting me if you're over na. Pinrotektahan kita pero pag di ka tumigil magsasalita na ko sa pinanggagagawa mo. Respeto pls," she said.

Luis then replied also via Twitter.

"With the harsh words i said earlier, im sorry, hope we let bygones be bygones, we have moved on but sorry sa sinabi ko kanina," he said.

Meanwhile through ABS-CBN's "The Buzz" on Sunday, July 3, Luis refused to clarify the cause of "misunderstanding." Earlier entertainment reports show the actor- host vowing to keep quiet when it comes to matters of the heart.

Angel and Luis failed relationship
Angel and Luis dated in 2008, but their romance ended around July 2009 for reasons the ex-couple refused to clarify. From October to the early months of 2011, Luis tried to win back Angel but to no avail.

Last Valentine's Day, Phil tweeted to ask Angel out for a date, which the actress turned down at first due to a hectic schedule. Angel however eventually agreed to date Phil, thus "officially" breaking her ties with Luis.

While Angel and Phil may be exclusively dating, Luis has since confirmed that he and Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado are also going out on dates.
