Kristen Stewart, Rupert Sanders apologize for affair

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Actress Kristen Stewart apologized to long-term boyfriend and "Twilight" co-star Robert Pattinson on Wednesday for a recent fling in which she was photographed kissing and embracing the director of her most recent movie, Rupert Sanders.
The 41-year-old director of Stewart's film, "Snow White and the Huntsman," also issued a statement on Wednesday saying he was "utterly distraught" over the pain he has caused to his wife and children following his indiscretion with the 22-year-old actress that made headlines around the world.
"I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry," Stewart said in a statement to People magazine.
A fling between a Hollywood star and her director is nothing new in showbiz, but this one gained widespread attention because of the high-profile people involved. Stewart, 22, and Pattinson, 26, portray the vampire-human couple of the "Twilight" series of blockbuster romance movies who are deeply in love in the films.
The pair's on-screen romance transferred to their real lives, and they confirmed they were dating in 2010. But they have tried to remain discreet in public and don't often discuss their relationship.
Given their past, Stewart's romantic liaisons with director Sanders, which was reported with photos on celebrity news outlets including People and Us Weekly, surprised celebrity watchers and put the trio in a publicly awkward situation.
"I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family. My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together," Sanders said in a statement to Reuters.
British director Sanders is married to model and actress Liberty Ross, 33, with whom he has two children. In a twist befitting of a good Hollywood drama, Ross portrayed the mother to Stewart's Snow White in the "Huntsman" tale.
Representatives for Stewart and Pattinson did not respond to Reuters' request for comment.
Most recently, Pattinson and Stewart were together promoting the upcoming final "Twilight" film, "Breaking Dawn - Part 2," at San Diego's Comic-Con earlier this month.
Universal Pictures announced in June that they were moving forward with a sequel to "Snow White and the Huntsman," but did not confirm whether Sanders would helm the film. Stewart is expected to reprise her role, but is not confirmed.

WBO panel: Pacquiao defeated Bradley

GMANews - WBO president Francisco Valcarcel has informed RingTV.com that his panel of five international judges all scored Manny Pacquiao as the winner in his June 9 (June 10, PHL time) bout against Timothy Bradley, the boxing site reported Wednesday (Thursday, PHL time).

Pacquiao won by scores of 117-111, 117-111, 118-110, 116-112, and 115-113.

"That's a Solomon-like conclusion," said Top Rank CEO Bob Arum, who handles both Pacquiao and Bradley. "Paco [Valcarcel] is a good man, he really is. I have great respect for him and what he says.

"It's appropriate for him to make that final conclusion."

During the fight proper, Bradley won via a controversial split decision, 115-113, 115-113, 113-115. Numerous boxing pundits however, and the viewing public, had Pacquiao winning, sometimes by large margins.

However, the WBO has no power to change the fight's outcome, or to force Bradley into surrendering the title. "The only thing that we can do is authorize a rematch," Valcarcel said Tuesday (Wednesday, PHL time). "We cannot got any further than that. That is in our rules.

"Cameron Dunkin [Bradley's manager] and Top Rank, they have all received the information," added Valcarcel. "Since they all work with the same promoter [Top Rank], they are working on that and we will leave that to them."

Arum has in the past stated that he felt that a rematch between Pacquiao and Bradley would not be profitable, and has been contemplating instead a fourth bout between the Filipino ring icon and Juan Manuel Marquez. Still, with this announcement, Arum is leaving it all up to his moneyman to make the decision.

"My first stop on any quest to determine what to do next is that I have to talk to the guy who is the money generator, and that's Manny Pacquiao," Arum said.

"And I have to then determine after discussions with him what he wants to do next and we'll go from there. Until Manny makes a determination, then I'm like a dog chasing its tail."

The controversial fight resulted in the two United States senators calling for the formation of a national boxing commissionThe Nevada State Athletic Commission also plans on reviewing the fight footage with the three judges who gave Bradley the split-decision win. - AMD, GMA News

Justin Bieber fan attacks Kurt Cobain on Twitter

One hardcore Belieber has sparked a war on Twitter after claiming that Justin Bieber is "much bigger" than late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain.
Twitter user "Amanda Bieber" caused outrage when she compared the popularity of the pop teen to the late grunge singer, suggesting that Justin could be Kurt reincarnate.
"Kurt Cobain (some rock singer) died in 1994, the same year Justin Bieber was born. RT if you think Bieber is Kurt reincarnated," Amanda wrote on her twitter.
Justin was born on March 1 1994, Kurt died on April 5 1994, so that theory doesn't quite add up.
The response on Twitter was less than positive, and "Mrs. Bieber" soon became defensive.
"Justin Bieber is much bigger than Kurt Cobain, so shut up," she fired back at haters. "Did Kurt Cobain have the biggest fanbase on Twitter? No." Mainly because Kurt Cobain died more than a decade before Twitter was invented, but mathematics doesn’t seem to be this kid's strong suit. Her comment was retweeted over 5,000 times and also went viral through Facebook.
"Kurt Cobain is trending because of my tweets about how Bieber is much better than him. I made you relevant Kurt, you owe me!" she responded after Kurt Cobain became a trending topic on Twitter.
She's tweeting to a dead person.
It seems Kurt isn't just the only musician to be at the mercy of "Mrs. Bieber". She's also compared her idol to Michael JacksonLady Gaga and even Freddie Mercury.
"LOL at people saying Freddie Mercury was a great role model and Bieber is not. You know Freddie was gay and had AIDS right?"
Of all the negativity that is surrounding the young tweeter, she does have one tender message for her fantasy husband.
"Justin I love you so much please follow me."

New Twitter logo looks like Batman!

Holy spoofs, Batman! Yep, a likeness of Batman is what you'll see if you happen to rotate Twitter's new bird logo 90 degrees counterclockwise.

A Twitter user, Josh Helfferich, tweeted this observation and posted an image of the uncanny likeness.

"So uh... if you turn the new Twitter logo upside-down, it's Batman," Helfferich said.

His photo (pic.twitter.com/zyoTEpJP) showed a black version of the rotated bird logo resembling a side view of a scowling Batman.

Tech site Mashable reported the tweet went viral, with nearly 1,000 retweets in an hour-and-a-half.

Mashable also said the graphic originally appeared on Oliver Twardowski‘s Dribble profile Thursday.

On the other hand, Mashable said a similar image appeared on Reddit earlier Thursday and has been viewed more than 1,600 times.

Mashable said the spoofs come a day after Twitter unveiled a makeover for its bird logo, which has now had three facelifts. — LBG, GMA News
